Pop-up Mailers website – UK visitors on the increase
Do website visitors give an accurate view of the economy? If so, things are certainly looking up for the marketing industry. I have been looking the stats for UK visitors to our website since we launched the new-look on 8th March. In the 3 months since then, UK visitor figures have risen significantly. A comparison to the same period in 2009 also shows an increase.
Of course, I understand that a proportion of the increase in figures might be as a result of improved SEO work but nevertheless, the figures are cetainly encouraging. Visitor figures for Western and Northern Europe have also increased with visitor figures from the Netherlands, Germany and Italy performing really well.
The viewing figures for our home page have also increased quite dramatically whilst website sections which previously registered low visitor figues such as “fun folds” and Pocket-sized products are now showing very respectable increases.
On last night’s BBC “Newsnight” programme, a double-dip recession was being forecast by certain economic commentators in anticipation of proposed government cuts in public sector spending. In light of the general optimistic figures that I have reported over the last few blogs, I certainly hope that those forecasts fail to come true.
