Innovative Promotional Ideas – Automatic Pop-up Products shaped like jewels
We have a few products in our range that are shaped something like jewels. They are pop-up polyhedrons but who is going to call them by that name? Let’s take a look at some.
The oldest one in the range is a pop-up diamond. OK, so it is nothing like a diamond but that was its first nickname and it stuck – it seemed more catchy than a pentagonal dipyramid!
It was the first product of this type that we made and it looked like a diamond at the time. However, the fact that it has never been printed to look like a diamond probably tells its own story.
However, it has proved to be popular whatever its shape may be and we have often supplied this marketing product with a loop of string or elastic at the top to act as a promotional Christmas decoration eg an ornament for a Christmas tree. It has also been used as a pop up mailer for product launch advertising, as a corporate event invitation and as a trade show giveaway.
Another promotional pop-up product is correctly described as a hexagonal bipyramid but we have decided that the name Hexapop will suffice for now! The Hexapop falls into the same category as similar products – the Snowflake and the Johnson 13 – inasmuch as they can be printed to look like precious stones or jewels or, at Christmas time, they can be made to look like seasonal decorations. However, the hexagonal Hexapop has 12 triangular faces and this makes it ideal as a promotional desk top calendar with one date per triangle and six months per side.
The final one is called a “Snowflake”. However, this pop up product has got very little to do with snowflakes apart from the fact that we once printed a snowflake on it as a Christmas promotion! To increase the seasonal appeal of this pop up product, the example in our picture also had a loop of silver string added to enhance its appearance as a promotional Christmas product. It also looks more like a diamond than our so-called pop up diamond and it is this particular pop-up product that has been printed to look like a precious stone. Conversely, it also to look like the top of a brolly!
