Diverse Ideas and Products for Advertising, Marketing and Promotions
One of the beauties of working at Whitney Woods is the diversification of products and the projects for which they are used by our clients. I realise that our range can be described simply by saying that they are all pop-ups or that they are all interactive marketing products but each one has a different shape or a different movement which gives each product an individual character. However, no matter how I might see the product, our clients often see them in different ways and put them to uses that I hadn’t considered.
Some of the ideas and designs really tickle me. The Extender Card with the condom design is a classic. A well designed Flicker Card featuring a stork delivering a baby was excellent. A Jumpinjax advertising a steeplechase race meeting was also a really great idea. The Two Pop-Box worked really well as a cover mount for the “C’mon” campaign for the Vauxhall Corsa.
One product that has a lot of potential for creative marketing is the Dissolving Picture. Having said that, our own samples have not been earth shattering but I’m sure that a brilliant graphic design is just around the corner. However, the real test is how to make a dead simple product into a real eye-catcher. Take the Pop-Top pop-up card for instance. I think that its simplicity is very appealing but we have yet to be commissioned to make one that really knocks your socks off. Maybe next week, eh?
