Promotional Marketing Pop-ups for the USA and Canada
Even though our website has a UK address and is hosted in the UK, we get an incredible amount of traffic from the North American continent, particularly from the USA. Almost 25% of all visits come from our North American cousins. This is a particularly heart-warming statistic to our joint Managing Director, Paul Whitney, who has a love affair going on with the North American continent. He has visited 26 of the 50 American states and when the eagle landed on 21st July 1969 he was looking at the moon from a balcony in Toronto, Canada. Paul also has family and friends in various parts of both countries.
Until recently, we always considered that our automatic rubber-band products were not suitable for export largely because of the prohibitive cost of airfreight. However, the recent economic conditions have changed all that and have opened up new opportunities. We now find that we can ship door to door in the space of approximately 3 days at very agreeable rates. We are currently bringing our staff up to speed with export rules and regulations but another terrific piece of news is that our goods fall into a duty-free category and also as our high rates of VAT do not apply then our products become very attractive.
We have taken a good look at the specific sample requests that we have received over the last 6 months and we believe that we have identified certain products from our range that would be best suited to the USA and Canada business-to-business market. We have purposely avoided ultra-shock products with small cubes that jump high into the air as we don’t want you to upset customers who might be of a litigious and acrimonious spirit. The products that we have selected all perform well in the UK and so we have no reason to suspect that they will be any less successful across the pond.
