Pop-up Mailers Website Starting to Look Like it is Ready for Export
The world is our oyster or so we would like to think. Our recent analysis of website statistics has convinced us that we should open our doors to the possibilities of becoming an exporter. The feeling has always been that exporting would be a stressful experience and that the paper work would be a nightmare. We have also been under the impression that the delivery from here to half way around the world would be too long for our automatic pop-up products to maintain their ability to jump up with sufficient vigour as to create a surprise. However, the current costs of air freight are far from prohibitive and that means that we can deliver in about 3 days which means that the rubber bands will still be quite fresh and will retain their elasticity for the duration of the journey overseas.
Another plus for the export market is that the British pound sterling is not doing too well on the international monetary market which makes the production costs less intimidating. The fact that our goods are duty free also helps keep the price at a level that might be found appealing to our potential customers overseas.
Our initial export training starts next week and in anticipation of coming out of that unscathed we have prepared our pop-up mailers website for a transition into an export-friendly place to visit. Icons of flags and globes are now a feature of the “home” page which will guide our overseas visitors to pages that hold relevant information. We have pages that are specific to trade with the USA and Canada and also with the EEC and other European countries. Another area that will be catered for soon is currently termed “the rest of the world” which right now means Australia and New Zealand and maybe South Africa.
With almost half of our website enquiries originating outside these shores it is about time we started to sit up and take notice!
